Timeline feature
For series it would be great with a timeline feature that include:
- The ability to create a timeline relevant for your book/series.
- Connect character descriptions to the timeline so that a character can develop over time.
- Connect descriptions of world building objects to the timeline so they can develop over time.
- Connect books, or even chapters to a position in the timeline.
The purpose is for the AI to be able collect the correct character and worldbuilding information automatically dependent on where in the timeline the chapter takes place.
Perhaps you also can allow for the scene “extra instructions” to place a single scene at a specific place in the timeline.

Absolutely agree with this!
We need something that actually links the timeline together.
Right now you can order a timeline - but Sudowrite doesn’t take this into account. It would be good if it could actually create a summary/overview of each title/story in the timeline and have evolving worldbuilding and character elements within them
I mean, if I have say, 10 stories/chapters in a timeline - that’s great, and I know what order they go in, and how they develop. I can put them in order in Sudowrite… but that doesn’t help the AI writer which doesn’t really reference the other stories/chapters to see how the world has built and characters have grown and developed.
This would likely take some time for it to read each story/chapter, and then create an overview of the timeline, and structured development, but I think it would be worthwhile!

It would be of great help if a timeline feature could be implemented in Sudowrite. My experience with Sudowrite indicates it does not know where it is in the world’s time zone. A big mistake in the development of an AI writing tool. A timeline feature would give the actual author more control of the writing process. As it is, I only use Sudowrite to improve an already written chapter with specific details listed in the “Rewrite” function.
