Maybe it’s just me, but I see this is an issue that has come up before. I’ll add my voice to it. 🤔 Scrolling and selecting the scroll arrows are really difficult as they are virtually invisible and so small. It is a little better on a large-screen PC. However, on a laptop, having to use the touchpad, it is a real pain and very frustrating to see or click on the scroll arrows or the bar. Making them more visible and bigger would surely be a significant improvement.😉

I think creators of the plug ins should get some credits to them when used. I created a plug in and sadly I get charged to use my own plug in. and 10-15 people are currently utilizing my plug in for 9k credit a shot depending on the size? It would go a long way as a thank you for those who spent the time creating them.

I think one feature that would really help writers is a text-to-speech option that reads our stories back to us. Sometimes hearing the words is just as important as seeing them. Some ideas: 🎧 Audible-style playback of stories 🗣️ Natural AI voices that read chapters aloud 🔄 Background listening while editing or writing ⚡ Adjustable playback speeds 🎭 Different voices for different characters 🌧️ Optional ambient sounds or background music ✍️ Helps catch mistakes, improve pacing, and hear dialogue more naturally I think being able to both read and listen to our stories would help writers connect with their work on a deeper level and make the editing process much more effective.

The Feedback +Pro is very handy, thank you for that. However after using it many times it seems to suggest even more AI tropey wording, after pointing out e.g. a Romantic trope. Is it possible to add ‘Extra Instructions’, say, to guide it in what NOT to present as better alternatives? e.g. Under “Originality” in the options. Similar to where ones generates Scenes at the start of a Chapter, there’s a box for Extra Instructions. Thank you

I have images Ive generated with chatgpt that Ive visualized for many of my novels. Characters, outfits, scenes, etc. My brain just works funny. I cant really translate images into words or vice versa..and I cant see images in my head…so I find a reference closest to what I see and I input everything into chatgpt to put it all together to make what Im imagining. It does, sometimes takes a few tries but I know when it’s right when I see it, but then here Sudowrite cant use that image reference for my novels and everything in them. So my workaround has been to tell chatgpt to describe the image to me and I input that description here but it doesnt always get the information right and its just a headache

There should ABSOLUTELY be a lock feature to lock content in the story bible, scene drafts, and chapter drafts. Character cards, scene cards, worldbuilding cards, outline chapers, etc. Even to select text in the drafts or any textbox to lock that specific bit of writing. I cant even tell you how many times Ive loved a piece of information or detail but had to rewrite something and it rewrites everything…

Plugins make it easier to write certain things, but it needs to be seamless. It would make sense for the engine to just follow the plugins installed automatically when writing. So when I give an instruction, it writes it and uses the plugins related that I have installed. Like 18+ scenes etc. Instead I have to manually go in the list and search for the one Im looking for but obviously Im not gonna remember each and every ones function by their titles, not all the titles are straight forward with their specific functions. So I have to go all the way to the plug in screen, scroll to find the right one by reading each ones description, go back to the writing screen, find the plugin to select it, and write. And do that every..single…time I need to use a plugin. Its too damn tedious and theres for sure easier ways

I create character sketches and outlines, etc outside of the Sudowrite platform and it would be wonderful to be able to upload those documents and have them populate within the proper areas of the story bible without having to type all the information in by hand each time. Alternatively, since I have carpal tunnel, it would be great to be able to speak this information and any changes I need to make into the platform as well.

I keep hitting undo (Command Z) and it ends up undoing 2-3 edits rather than the edit I just made. So I’ll hit undo and it’ll reverse several things across multiple paragraphs, making it impossible to use. It would be nice if the undo shortcut only reversed the most recent edit or change.

I would like to be able to draft one scene at a time. Like it currently give you the option to do AFTER you have text in the draft. It would be great to do one scene at a time to save credits and better adjust the draft as I go. just turn this on from the beginning, but it’s currently not on unless there is already a partial draft.

A section where you can write the scene actively in your mind that is not currently tied to an existing chapter. Feature would include an “insert into chapter” to add to the end of the designated chapter once it’s no longer an orphan and fits into the story.

is there anyway to make this bar not pop up until AFTER you release the mouse? As is, it sometimes blocks view of the text immediately surrounding the highlighted text. if there is a sentence immediately under the hilited text, the bar covers it. (not a great example because I had a space between paragraphs where I worked, but that whole line would be covered) As it is, the bar immediately pops up when any text is highlighted, even if you’re still highlighting stuff.

When I put something in my Story Bible from a certain series, there is nothing I can do to change which series it is . Also, sometimes it just is listed as “Series” instead a certain part in my series. I suppose this helps when it is part of the whole series, but it would be nice to be able to choose and edit this. It would be nice if I could edit which specific series portions that certain characters or other details are sourced from.

Actually the manuscript doesn't automatically update the changes we make in the Story Bible. The Story Bible though is a central part of sudowrite. The way how I develop a story more often than not I start with few people and also few locations. During writing new ideas, personas, locations and so on pop only then up. So to be forced each time when a change in the Story Bible is made to copy ALL the chapters already written, so that the manuscript integrates these changes is a NO GO! Sorry folks, your tool is astonishing and I LOVE to work with it. I just can’t understand that this feature hasn’t been developed from the beginning.
