Table of contents based on headings

Feature Request

Where a document includes headings (h1, h2, h3), it’d be nice to have a table of contents that shows the structure of the document. Clicking on a particular heading in the table of contents (TOC) would scroll to the correct spot in the document. This would make navigating longer documents much easier.

Maybe the table of contents could be shown/hidden by clicking a button in the toolbar.

    I concur! This would be a great feature to add for those of us who plan to print or export our book as a digital product. Is this feature being considered now? Or, if it’s already possible to add a TOC, how do we add it?

    I was just going to suggest the same thing! This would would really be great and come in handy, especially when one works with a long document.
