Hide Certain Chapters From Word Count

It would be really helpful if we could hide certain chapters from the overall word count. I have things like authors notes, epigraphs, about the author, dedications, copyright page etc that I would like to exclude from the book word count.

    Working on my SudoNoNo project, I agree with this. All of my extra research and prep documents are currently included in the project word count, so I’d have to manually calculate my novel’s actual word count.

    I like this idea, but I would implement it as folders. So you have one folder for chapters, another for notes, etc. Then you can have options for each folder for types of content, whether it is the main book, author’s notes, acknowledgements, dedications, glossary, dramatis personae, etc. Maybe whole folders can be linked together, making a chain of chains? It might also be cool to have a tool to clone a whole folder, so you could (for instance) keep a complete draft as-is, and work on another copy.
