find/replace for story bible
Is there a way to find/replace for the entire completed story bible? After working on it and changing names or terms or places, there doesn’t appear to be a way to update everything other than either reading through All The Fields and changing each item by hand, or copying every single field to Word or a sudowrite document and then find/replacing, then copying every single field back… It seems counter intuitive to use AI to save time and handle the grunt work, only to have to do a ton of simple grunt work to keep it updated… This would be a massive help.

Universal find and replace
When working up ideas in the Story Bible it would be very helpful and time saving to be able to identify (highlight) an item and change its name across the whole project so that the story bible does not finish up with conflicting names for a single item or character?

That’s actually the way Find & Replace works today! When you open Find & Replace in the editor’s toolbar it is initially scoped to the current Document, but you can toggle it to either your Story Bible exclusively, or your whole Project (all docs and your Story Bible). You can easily replace a character’s name in one shot that way.

AGREE. I’ve been asking about this exact basic feature for a while now, and discovered that a LOT of other users have been asking for it over the entire life of Sudowrite. Unfortunately, there seems to be some confusion about the functionality of the new Search/Replace feature.
From what I can tell, at present S/R only works in one document and ignores StoryBible entirely. Global changes have to made manually and piecemeal as you describe, which seems drudgerous and insane. BUT in at least two places I’ve seen staffers refer to this global search/replace as a “completed” feature. And yet, every place I’ve touched n the subject or even asked outright for a solution everyone says it' doesn’t exist “yet” and points me to the 9 different feature requests here on Changelog.
I suspect that this is one of those on-the-fly functions in which the IDEA of search/replace is now operational on a micro level, but not on a macro level or in the way writers understand it.
