Can you create a replace feature similar to Ctrl+H in MS Word? For example if I change a character's name later in the writing, I don't want to manually comb through and change every single reference.
I have a tendency to not give my characters their final name for a while. It would be pretty handy to be able to do find & replace so I don’t have to reread every chapter to make sure the names are all updated.

They already have one. The find and replace is the magnifying glass, then you can find and replace in the project, document, or Story Bible.

We have both a system find and replace, and Plugins version of this now available (which will dynamically change not just a character name, but things like their pronouns and/or nicknames—neat!). Given that, I’m marking this complete!
This isn’t actually a completed feature, or if it is then it isn’t documented anywhere and no one has been able to find it. There are still around 8-10 requests for different versions of this “Global Name Change” function scattered through the feature requests that go back a while.
I’ve asked about this a couple times and everyone keeps saying it’s a requested feature that doesn’t exist yet. If there IS a systemwide Search/Replace, it isn’t listed in the Sudowrite documentation and completely unknown to the folks answering questions on the Discord.
The Plugin you linked only edits a single chapter/document. And system find/replace only works on the open doc.
AFAIK, even the new Search/Replace only works within a single document. Changing a character name in one document doesn’t change that in the Story Bible cards, or in multiple OTHER documents in a project. Unless there’s an undocumented feature tucked away somewhere, global name-changes have to be made manually and piecemeal, a single SB card and project document at a time.
