Convert markdown to styled text in cards

Feature Request

Any chance that, at some point, Sudowrite cards will convert * to italics and ** to bold? I find the AI sometimes uses Markdown in its responses, and while it's not a massive job to have to manually convert these to italics/bold, it would be nice if Sudowrite took care of that for me. — GS on discord

I spend many hours restoring italics and bold, or converting documents from other sources to * * and ** ** for input to sudowrite so that my formatting is not lost.

Many plugins create output in Markdown, which can be really tedious to fix manually when the output is meant to be usable prose. Various models (including Muse) have even produced Markdown in Chapter Generator, and Quick Chat does it as well. It would be really useful if Sudowrite automatically converted Markdown into proper formatting.
