Character Growth Within Series

It would be great to time block character traits especially within a series to help the AI follow the growth the character is experiencing rather than having to create a new character and hope the AI gets it right. You could time block this growth by chapter or date(date is difficult as there’s no true timeline function for a series) but the concept would be fantastic

I realized I could have used AI to make this clearer, but here’s a more structured request… It would be incredibly valuable to have a way to time-block or phase character traits within a series in order to reflect their growth over time. This would help the AI better understand and follow a character’s development, rather than requiring users to create multiple versions of the same character and hoping the context is interpreted correctly.

The feature could allow users to:

    • Define evolving character traits tied to specific chapters, scenes, or ideally a future series timeline feature.

    • Mark traits or internal states as active during certain ranges (e.g., “Chapters 1–5: distrustful,” “Chapters 6–10: slowly opening up,” etc.).

    • Seamlessly update the AI’s understanding of the character without duplicating them across projects or manually re-entering growth changes.

This would be especially helpful in long-form storytelling and series-based work, where character arcs evolve meaningfully across multiple installments.

Why not add this in the additional directions when outlining those scenes? OR in the outline have [Character: is distrustful of __]. It’ll change the tone. But I do understand what you’re asking. My suggestion is a possible bandaid.
