Chapter Draft Status
I would like to have a “Status” per chapter. So I can make chapters in various status [Outlined, Early Draft, Draft, Refined, Revised, Copyedited, Reviewed, Complete]
There is no need to do anything with the status or force any kind of a workflow. These would just help authors track where they’ve spent their time and effort and how confident/content they are with each chapter. This is a low-effort/high value feature.

I could really need this.
Additionally, I would love for the option to not include the draft chapters word count in the total—right now, I have to export my story to google docs and manually remove my draft chapters to see how long my total work count actually is.

Thinking about another solution I came up with preparing a folder (the author can decide for the name) and once a document changes of its status, it should be moved to the correct folder. This could potentially lead to lots of folders, but can also be two at max. For example, you start writing. Those will be in folder Outlined. Once the story is ready, start with the first document in folder Outlined, perform the early draft and move it afterwards to the folder ‘Early Draft‘. Once all the outlined documents are moved to folder Early Draft, rename Outlined folder to Draft. Continue like this for all intended statuses.
Your thoughts on this @Andrew Pearson and others?

I also like to see this feature per chapter. Either fixed values (as per the examples) or to add them ourselves (at author level, not per book). So somewhere in the settings or part of the story bible. It helps me to notice which document is how far in the development cycle. A report to see how far is the next feature that comes to mind to extend the status it self. That could also be something like the new search function, where you one would see the number of documents in a certain status.

I will add one or three more to the list that you made.

This is a very good idea.
