A merge option would be great, especially when importing for the first time. When characters have the same name, particularly because of the 60K word limit. To import characters from a longer work the MS has to be broken into chunks. Also, since a series timeline is established by the order of the projects in the series total, timeline can be maintained by entries under the project title in the history field to show character growth across projects.
